Members are those who participate in events and programs offered by NextGEN. They also volunteer in a variety of capacities when they have time. They may do research on regional ecovillages, help with outreach events, write newsletter articles, etc. Both young adults and elders are invited to join us as members. All members receive our newsletter, containing updates and information. Members are also encouraged to participate in developing local networks of support in their area. [edit] Fellow

NextGEN Fellows are directly involved in the planning and leadership of NextGEN program and operational groups. We seek Fellows from all regions of the world. Do you want to take initiative locally and/or work on the global network? Fellows also find ways to collaborate with regional ecovillages and non-governmental organizations.

You will need to assess the time you have available. Regional or program coordinators will work with you to determine what level of engagement is best for you. The options range from committing a few hours a week to coordinating a specific program or event. It all depends on what you are ready for.

Regional Fellows’ groups meet several times a year for planning, training, fellowship and fun. They keep in contact in between times by teleconferences. Fellows are eligible to participate at no charge in professional development seminars, both online and in person, several times a year. These seminars focus on skills such as fundraising, grant writing, presentation skills, planning, communication and group facilitation.
